Philadelphia shooting victim totals for first six months of each year, 2015-2022

Open city data indicate that 1,163 people were shot in Philadelphia during the first six months of 2022, indicating a 7.5 percent increase when compared with the same period one year earlier and a 117 percent increase when compared with 2015, the first year in the data set. Fatal shootings were down two percent in comparison with 2021 but up 142 percent when compared with 2015.
