The team behind the first production from the Credible Messenger Reporting Project held a live screening of “The Lasting Impact” Sunday night, followed by a panel discussing how it came together and what might happen next.
The panel included Maxayn Gooden, founder and president of Jahworld18 mentoring and Women Of Valor74, who produced and directed the short documentary, as well as Philadelphia filmmaker and co-producer Taj Devore-Bey, partnering professional journalist Chris Hepp and Jim MacMillan of the Center for Gun Violence Reporting. The event was moderated by Ambition The Poet
From the producers:
“If you missed our first live premiere and community discussion, now here is your chance to see three different people, three different stories and three different perspectives that share the lasting effects that gun violence leaves on families and communities years after the cameras are off and people are still left with a “Lasting Impact” that has forever changed their lives.”
