Oronde McClain first came to The Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting as a community journalist participating in our Credible Messenger Reporting Project in early 2022. Soon after, we invited him to join the staff as our first ever Credible Messenger Newsroom Liaison, a role in which he addresses harmful reporting practices and raises the voices of gun violence survivors like himself.
