The next season of the “Dear Gun Violence” podcast will tell the stories of Philadelphia residents impacted by gun violence in their own words and explore ways that the practice of news reporting might help prevent gun violence.
All of our Credible Messengers are invited to participate, whether you have completed a project, if you have one underway or even if you have just been approved to work with us don’t have a professional reporting partner yet.
Guided by host Maxayn Gooden, Community Engagement Manager at the Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting, Philadelphia residents will discuss root causes, their lived experiences and possible solutions to the enduring plague of gun violence our the city. Local journalists will join the conversation to discuss some of the ways they can help change the narrative on gun violence.
