We gathered at Temple University on July 29 for our Second Annual Credible Messenger Film Festival, this time screening several short documentaries from some of our favorite partnering organizations, each followed by panel discussions including some of the producers, participants and other media experts.

We are grateful to the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting and Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple University for hosting this event. Our Credible Messenger Reporting Project is made possible by the Independence Public Media Foundation. This event was produced by our staffers who are also supported by The Stoneleigh FoundationSpring Point Partners and HFGF. Photographs by Kriston Jae Bethel. More photos coming soon.

Prof. Yvonne Latty, director of the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting at Temple University, screened her forthcoming documentary The Second Trauma, which features Oronde McClain as moderator. Several of the people interviewed in the film were in attendance.

Once again the event was hosted by our Community Engagement Manager Maxayn Gooden and Credible Messenger Newsroom Liaison Oronde McClain, who kicked off the day with an introduction in the atrium at Annenberg Hall, home Klein College of Media and Communication at Temple.
