Community Conversations and Speed Networking

Fifteen Philadelphia-based journalists were invited to spend a day with 30 residents from the core communities impacted by gun violence in the city, most of whom had lost several loved ones. The gathering was convened by The Initiative for Better Gun Violence Reporting in a first step toward informing a new set of best practices for journalists covering the issue and exploring the impact of news coverage on levels of violence.
